Years Have Sped By

Poems

Never to Forget

Do you want to see the world
In its true color?
Observe! Perceive!
And within your being, discover, How uncertain is our future,
At the hands of our people's enemies . . .

Do not permit our people to be deceived,
While our own blood has not yet congealed!
Don't permit our honor besmirched to be,
Leading to shame and humility!

Observe!
Their enormous paunches,
Swilling again, so frivolously, Rolling in gales of laughter . . .
Soon, so soon, the time grows nearer . . .
Will they once again displace us?

My people, let yourselves not be deceived,
See how they, with guile, attempt it.
Defend the memory of our martyred dead --
Never to forgive . . . Never to forget!
