I am living in Europe. In my opinion the situation in the USA is getting very strange.
"MEIN KAMPF" - the book of Hitler will be sold by some american companies on INTERNET and even got a very high position in ranking lists of this shops. At the same time it is forbidden EVEN to own this book in Germany. I am not sure if the PR for such book in not even stronger since a German publisher Bertelsmann and other German publishing houses are buying step by step US publishing houses and getting more and more influence on your cultureand media. We do not need to say again who was Hitler, expecialy not hiere, but he was the one, who showed the world the real face of a German nation, of deep antisemitism in Europe and especially in Germany. The period was not six but 13 years and he changed a history of a world in 20 century. He killed and ereased European-Jewish culture, also German and Polish - which was highly influenced by Jews. Now we have, what we have- We have no film and music in Germany, and - no chance to get some progress in it!!
For sure, Hitlers place is in the hell, and not in the "TIME". Holocaust theme will be less and less interesting for the media - there is no sensation in it any more?
For me it was an human obligation to publish the immediately after the war written memoir of my father Wladyslaw Szpilman "The Pianist". It shows the real story, not like a most of the books made many years later, trough the prisma of political and financial corectness. And this book was reviewd by Wall Street Journal, but not by "Times".(( http://members.aol.com/alinamusic/pianist.html ))
I ask myself why?
It was a bestseller in Germany and England. But, as I know, no German Jews was reading this book - even in my comunity. Why should then the Germans read such books. They can feel free to stop to talk about Holocaust.
Why do we do such books today? We do not want to have such tragedys again.
Maybe "TIME"s Hitler makes this question to be hot discussed again in the USA. This is needed to warn the people what can happen to the human nature and how important is to keep on the democracy.
